Vlad Ionuț Popescu

Vlad Ionuț Popescu is a 27 years old actor (born in 1998) born in Buzău, Romania. He graduated from UNATC Bucharest, making his debut in his first year of university in Lord of the Flies at the Excelsior Theatre. Also during his studies, he began collaborating with major directors in award-winning productions: Radu Afrim – The Forest of the Hanged, or Andrei Măjeri – Medea’s Boys.

Currently, he collaborates with many theatres in Bucharest: TNB (The Forest of the Hanged), Metropolis – Who Killed My Father, Replika – Mother’s Eyes, Bulandra – a standout Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Teatrul Mic – the premiere We Apologize for the Inconvenience, Teatrelli – Good Life, unteatru – Side Effects, TDR – Stop the Tempo!, Masca – Crisis. A Survival Guide.

He’s also a film actor: he appeared in Taxi Drivers, Voyagers, The Father Who Moves Mountains, TV series (Atletico Textila, Las Fierbinți), as well as major films that screened at Cannes – Three Kilometers to the End of the World – and Venice – The New Year That Never Came. This year, he was selected for the Talents Sarajevo program at the Sarajevo Film Festival and he just finished shooting a new feature film directed by Marius Olteanu, We Won't Get Old Together.
