Ioana Alexandra Ursu

My name is Ioana Alexandra Ursu, I am 20 years old and I come from Constanța, Romania. I am currently studying Acting at the George Enescu National University of Arts in Iași, after graduating from the Regina Maria National College of Arts, where I specialized in acting.

Theatre has been part of my life for almost ten years. Alongside acting, I studied singing for three years and Latin dance for four years, always striving to combine these disciplines and grow into a complete performer.

During high school, I was a member of the youth theatre company AICI Constanța, where I performed in original productions and participated in theatre festivals across Romania. Those experiences helped me develop stage presence, adaptability and confidence in performance.

Throughout my training, I have explored a wide range of roles, from romantic and dramatic characters to grotesque and comic ones. I am often told that I have a natural sense of comedy, while at the same time I am deeply drawn to poetic, sensitive and emotionally layered characters.

Besides acting, I enjoy writing, painting and music. I love discovering new ways of expressing emotions through different artistic forms, and I continuously work on becoming a versatile artist.

I have also gained experience on professional film and television sets through featured extra roles, as well as in student and independent short films. I am eager to continue developing both in theatre and on screen.

I chose acting because it allows me to experience lives I could never live otherwise.
