My name is Anatol Guzic, and I am an actor and television presenter from the Republic of Moldova. I was born on July 13, 1987, and I graduated from the Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts in Chișinău, at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, specializing in Theatre and Film Acting. Since 2013, I have been part of the team at the National Theatre “Eugène Ionesco,” where I have grown and developed as an artist.
Throughout my career, I have played a wide range of roles, from Mister Darling and Captain Hook in „Peter Pan”, to the Fool in „King Lear” or Trigorin in Chekhov’s „The Seagull”. A turning point for me was the one-man show „ADI” by Constantin Cheianu, in which I portrayed Adolf Hitler in his final days. This role earned me the Grand Prix and the award for “Best Actor” at the ALBAMONO Festival in Albania. The show has also been presented in Georgia, Macedonia, Mongolia, and South Korea.
In addition to theatre, I work as a television presenter. Audiences know me from the morning shows at TVR Moldova (Telematinal) and from the podcast „Istorii cu Tâlc”, where I bring inspiring stories and people to the forefront. I also have experience in film, music videos, and commercial spots, which has allowed me to explore various artistic media and work across different styles and registers. In 2019, I made my debut as a writer with the novel „Iluzia manipulării”.
For my artistic contributions, I had the honor of receiving the title of Merited Artist of the Republic of Moldova. I consider this recognition not as a destination, but as a responsibility – a motivation to continue creating, challenging, and bringing emotion to the stage and in front of the camera.
As an actor, I enjoy exploring complex characters, delving into the depth of emotions, and transforming each role into a living experience that reaches the audience. I believe that art’s purpose is to ask questions and open dialogues, and I strive to achieve this through everything I create.
