Dana Voicu is a Romanian film and theatre actress. She was born in Bucharest in 1970 but she spend her early childhood in Moldova. After she graduated the National University of Theatre and Film I.L.Caragiale she founded an independent theatre (active between 1999 and 2010) and also played on the most important theatre stages in Bucharest. After her debut in a leading role in the Romanian bitter sweet romcom “Hello! How are you?”(2010) she played memorable parts in internationally acclaimed Romanian films like “The new year that never came”(2024), “ Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn”(2021) or “Scarred hearts”(2016). Dana played in some international productions as well - “The Power” TV series (2023), “The Nun”(2018), “Kunstroof” (2024), “Alone at My Wedding” (2018). Dana is well known also for her character spread over 10 seasons in one of the most popular Romanian TV series “Las Fierbinți” (2016-2024). Dana has a PhD in Visual Arts and she teaches acting at the National University of Theatre and Film I.L.Caragiale, Bucharest from 2016.
