Costin Cambir

Hi! I’m Costin, and I am a professional Romanian actor. I started this journey twenty years ago and trained at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Romania. Afterward, I flew to Los Angeles to study at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio, and later deepened my training for three years in London at the Identity School of Acting.

I’ve had the opportunity to work for many years in various television series in Romania, and I was also employed in theatre for 8 years as a full-time resident actor. I also was on the leading actors in Sundance Official Selection '15 film, Pioneers Palace B'92.

Since day one, I have felt a profound attraction to the potential of this craft—the art of acting. I am someone who deeply loves freedom, and I believe that when done right, this profession allows the soul to fly, curiosity to run wild, and instinct to burn. It’s the exact same adrenaline rush I get from my other great passion: I’ve been a motorcyclist for fifteen years,and I love discovering mountain roads and spectacular landscapes. For me, the freedom I feel in the saddle is the exact replica of what I feel on set.

After a six-year journey between Los Angeles and London, I decided to return to my homeland. Currently, I also direct an international acting school that I founded, the Bucharest Playhouse—a project that allows me to work intensely,experiment, and feed my curiosity while passing on to others everything I’ve been lucky enough to learn.
